Euthanasia is probably one of the trikiest topics to talk about. I mean, it's not like you can ask them whether they think they made a right decision or not. Euthanasia may be illegal but many are in favour of legalizing it if the patient wishes it. The advantages of legallizing voluntary euthanasia are: people can die with diginity, lessens the economical weight for their relatives, and ultimately be out of their misery quicker.

ReplyDeleteI am one of the many who believe the Euthanasia should be legalized. My grandfather suffered from this problem two years ago when he discovered he had cancer and would die in six weeks. He suffered a lot of pain, but because there was no option for us, as his family, to end his life even though it was his wish, he was left to suffer throughout the six weeks and died in much pain. I believe this is a very important topic and you have hit home some very important points including how you discussed money matters. Excellent job.

Hi there, sorry to hear about your grandfather. I could only imagine how it would have felt like to see one of your family member suffering and there's nothing you could do about it. I don't really get the logic behind keeping someone alive who is clearly in pain and has clear number of days left. It may come across as being insensitive but what's the point? i also think euthanasia should be lagal. because everyone has right, even patients can choose dying or die through euthanasia as well. transposition thinking, if you were a patient, dear huge pain every seconds, what's your feeling when you want euthanasia but they don't allow you.
so, we should respect patient's choice and let euthanasia be lagal.
Hey there, yes when you discuss this topic with people, generally people are in favour of legalizing euthanasia. Especially the voluntary one. In a way, not allowing patients to die on his own will is like a torture.
